August Slipped Away...

Hi friend,

The lyrics of Taylor Swift "August slipped away into a moment in time, cause it was never mine..." is on repeat in my brain as I am writing to you. Seriously, where has time gone? It just seems to move so quickly. I thought it would slow down once I moved and I had the shop as my only full time job, but now life is busier than ever! WAY more fulfilling and more time for fun stuff like morning yoga and Monday evening swing dance lessons along with monthly "framily dinners" and girls nights. Don't worry, there are MANY shop things going on behind the scenes as well and I was hoping to have an announcement this newsletter but it looks like it will be another week or so. Follow me on social media to stay tuned for some very exciting news!

If you are local, come see me at my pop-up at the Abell Street Fair (on Abell Street in the Charles Village area of  Baltimore) on September 10th from 12 pm - 5pm! It is the 50th Anniversary of our neighborhood street fair this year and there will be live music, vendors, activities for the kids and more! This community is so special and I guarantee a fun time.

September Heatwave 2 ounces whiskey *For a mocktail use a strong brewed Barley tea instead! It has a toasty and slightly bitter flavor and is a great substitute for whiskey. I found a bag at a local Asian market and saw them on Amazon too. 1 ounce fresh peach juice 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice 1 tsp crushed red pepper cherries for garnish - or to eat as you are preparing your drink. no judgement! Pour all ingredients into a shaker over ice. Shake vigorously. Strain crushed pepper and pour. Garnish with cherries (if you did not eat them all - again, no judgement).
