Intro to Shirts

Ready to jump into sewing your own clothes? This is the class for you, Whether you've completed our Beginner Sewing class or an experience quilting ready to learn garment sewing. You'll be making the size inclusive t-shirt, Square Neck Top by Friday Pattern Company. 

What you'll be doing
- Sewing the Square Neck Top by Friday Pattern Company. Choose a woven fabric for a beginner friendly option or learn to work with knit fabrics.
- You'll learn how to choose a size, cut your pattern pieces and construct your final shirt.

What you'll need
All supplies for this project will be available at the shop with a 10% discount.
- Copy of The Square Neck Top pattern
- Pre-washed fabric
- Notions required for pattern
- Sewing machine in good working order: If you need to borrow one of ours, let your teacher know before class.

Skill Level: Beginner

Open to sewists that know the basics of using a sewing machine and can sew a straightish seam and maintain a mostly accurate seam allowance. If you’ve taken our Beginner Sewing Series or have sewn small projects on your own, you are welcome in our beginner classes

* This class is designed for age 16+
* Cancellation Notice: We kindly ask that makers give a minimum 1 week notice of cancellation for class credit/reschedule and a 2 week cancellation notice for full refund. This advance notice will allow us to make any necessary adjustments to our schedule and accommodate other makers.

Refunds: Class cancellations made with a 2 week notice or more will either receive a full refund on a gift card, or a full refund minus the $5 card processing fee to the card that was used to purchase the class registration. This fee accounts for the costs associated with the transaction and ensures a smooth and secure refund process. Multi-week courses fill more slowly and a 72 hour notice (current single class policy) is not enough time to fill an empty spot.
