Sewcial Studies
Do you want to work on your own projects, but you miss the camaraderie and support of a class? Join our head teacher, Mikayla, for Sewcial Studies. This class doesn't have a set curriculum, but is an opportunity to get expert one-on-one help with whatever project(s) you’d like to tackle while building community with your fellow sewists and sewers. Bring your garment, quilting or bag making project and your sewing machine. Mikayla will be available to help interpret a pattern, share sewing tips and be your cheerleader to take your project across the finish line.
Disclaimers
- Sewing machines are available to rent for an additional $15.
- Each sewist will be working on a different project. We ask for your patience as Mikayla assists each individual.
- Space is limited to 6 sewists. If you need to cancel we ask for 72 hours notice to refund the full event fee or 24 hours for store credit.

| Skill Details: | This class is designed for beginners to intermediate sewists. You should be comfortable using a sewing machine and have completed a couple of sewing projects to particpate. |

| Instructor Bio: | Mikayla Turner (@mikayla_sews) is a lifelong sewist who has found that the only thing she loves more than spending time at her machine is teaching others to sew! She primarily sews garments but has been known to make quilts from time to time. Her insatiable curiosity drives her to learn everything she can about sewing, always expanding her skill and expertise. As an instructor she has a particular passion for teaching beginners, and strives to create a learning environment that is welcoming, accessible and inclusive. |
