Hemingway Pouch | MMC January
In our first Modern Makers Club you'll make a Hemingway Pouch to use for books, e-readers and more. In this class you'll complete the large size pouch practicing quilting, zippers and binding.
About the Modern Makers Club (MMC)
Join Jenni for a year of creativity with our 12-month sewing series! Each month, you’ll create a quick and satisfying project designed to build confidence, spark inspiration, and help you use the beautiful fabrics you love. From pouches and fabric buckets to fun, functional makes, every session features a 3 hour, hands-on class with easy-to-follow instruction. Perfect for beginners and seasoned sewists alike, this is a stress-free way to sew, learn, and connect all year long.
What You’ll Learn:

What to Bring:
- Hemingway Pouch Pattern available in the shop with 10% off with class discount
- We are making the Large size: 1 Main FQ, 1 Lining FQ and 1/4 accent fabric
- 12" x 18" Foam Stabilzer
- 24" or longer #4.5 or # 5 zipper (if you have a 30" double zipper, you can make 2 pouches!)
- Basic sewing supplies (rotary cutter, ruler, scissors, etc.)
- A sewing machine in good working order
- Zipper Foot
This class is perfect for anyone who loves to sew! Beginners, confident beginners, and seasoned sewists looking for fun, quick projects will all feel right at home.
