Hinterland Dress

5 Sessions | Thursdays 6-9pm | Jan 8th - Feb 5th

What you will be doing: 

• Learning the essential skills to jumpstart your journey of sewing clothes that fit your unique body and style! After this class you’ll have the confidence to tackle a range of garment sewing projects.

• Using the Hinterland Dress pattern from Sew Liberated, you’ll get hands-on experience working with sewing patterns, including making pattern adjustments to ensure a good fit.

• We’ll cover a range of essential garment sewing skills, including tracing patterns, cutting out fabric, sewing darts, finishing seams, sewing inseam pockets, gathering, sewing facings, and hemming. 

• This pattern also gives you the option to choose between a sleeveless, short sleeved, or long sleeved dress and a partial or full button placket if you’d like to try your hand at sewing buttons and buttonholes. And you’ll end class with a super cute and wearable dress!

All supplies are available in shop and can be purchased with a 10% class discount.

• Copy of Hinterland Dress Pattern by Sew Liberated (note that this pattern covers sizes 0-34 (up to a 58.5” bust and 61” hip), and is available as a paper pattern in the shop).

• Light to medium weight woven fabric according to your size

• Lightweight interfacing

• Buttons (optional)

• All purpose cotton or polyester thread to match your fabric

• If you have your own machine - bring it! Let us know what kind it is beforehand so we can find the manual for you if you don't have it. If you don't have a machine - we have one that you can use.

* This class is designed for age 16+
* Cancellation Notice: We kindly ask that makers give a minimum 1 week notice of cancellation for class credit/reschedule and a 2 week cancellation notice for full refund. This advance notice will allow us to make any necessary adjustments to our schedule and accommodate other makers.

Refunds: Class cancellations made with a 2 week notice or more will either receive a full refund on a gift card, or a full refund minus the $5 card processing fee to the card that was used to purchase the class registration. This fee accounts for the costs associated with the transaction and ensures a smooth and secure refund process. Multi-week courses fill more slowly and a 72 hour notice (current single class policy) is not enough time to fill an empty spot.
