Color Clarity 1.0: Garments and Wardrobe
What you will be doing:
Whether you're a seasoned garment sewist or just getting started, knowing which colors work best for your coloring will give you the ability to build a wardrobe that makes you shine and effortlessly works together!
To determine your personal best colors, we will be walking through the science and theory of colors, including how the color system we know today was first created, the steps to determine your personal color type, and how to apply this new knowledge to you and your clothes. This will give you the confidence to pick colors that you'll love wearing, eliminating these dilemmas: Why don't I love this garment? Why did I buy this fabric but aren't drawn to sewing with it? How do I know which fabrics to buy to eliminate stress and unused stash?
Let's boost your confidence, make you look great, and feel effortlessly aligned! This class will be a mixture of lecture and hands-on activities, being collaborative, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions.

- If you don't sew your own wardrobe and are buying ready to wear, this class is for you too! It's open to anyone, sewist or non sewist.
- You love color but feel you're lost and frustrated in picking colors for you to wear.

| Instructor Bio: | Elizabeth Kelly (@studioofgrowth) is a lifelong lover of color, textiles, and fashion with an innate joy in helping and empowering others to effortlessly live a more elevated and aligned life. Do you want to have more ease, confidence, and clarity? Then you are in the right place and she is here to give you that. She has been sewing since 12 years old, some of her first projects included a pillow and multiple dresses for family and school functions, and has made a variety of items over the years, including a more recent interest in modern quilting. She has always been drawn to clothes and fashion and how they make us feel. Close friends and colleagues know her as the go to color expert for everything from garment fabrics to quilting to items in their homes, often shopping with them to pick fabrics for their next project. With 20+ years in color expertise, interior design, and art, she has a love of textiles and a deep understanding of color play. Always excited to learn more and share her knowledge with others, her classes are interactive and collaborative, with lots of opportunities to ask questions and learn together. She is a certified color analysis consultant, image consultant and stylist, and interior designer. When not pursuing these passions, she enjoys nature, music, and art. She has curated her home environment to be a sanctuary for both her fluffy feline companion and ever growing houseplant collection. |
