Machine Quilting

What you will be doing: 

We know that quilting on a domestic machine can feel intimidating, but we are here to make the process feel a little more approachable! This class is a great complement to our other quilting classes, but is equally fun on its own!

Please note that this class is just for machine quilting. If you’d like additional support piecing your quilt we have seasonal, rotating quilt classes using a variety of techniques for both beginners and more intermediate quilters. If you’d like additional guidance on finishing your quilt, we also offer à la carte classes on basting, a variety of other quilting techniques (including longarm quilting and big stitch hand quilting), and binding your quilt!

 

What do you bring?: All supplies are available in shop and can be purchased with a 10% class discount. 

• Basted quilt sandwich ready for quilting

• Cotton thread for quilting

• Walking foot for your machine

• If you have your own machine, please bring it! Let us know what kind it is beforehand so we can find the manual for you if you don't have it. If you don't have a machine we have class machines available to use.

• Basic sewing supplies (thread snips, fabric marking tool, etc. We have all of these in the classroom so no worries if you don’t have them or forget!)

* This class is designed for age 16+
* Cancellation Notice: We kindly ask that makers give a minimum 72 hours' notice of cancellation or rescheduling needs. This advance notice will allow us to make any necessary adjustments to our schedule and accommodate other makers.

Refunds: Class cancellations made with a 72 hour notice or more will either receive a full refund on a gift card, or a full refund minus the $5 card processing fee to the card that was used to purchase the class registration. This fee accounts for the costs associated with the transaction and ensures a smooth and secure refund process.

Skill Level:	Beginner
Skill Details:	You have taken a class or two and feel good about the basics of sewing. Must be able to sew a straight line and know what a seam allowance is. This skill level is not for people who haven't used a sewing machine before.
