Mave Skirt

Mondays March 9th - 16th | 2 Sessions | $110

What you will be doing: 

Using the Mave Skirt pattern by True Bias we’ll advance your garment sewing skills. This skirt is a beautiful tiered ruffled skirt, and presents an awesome opportunity to learn to sew inseam pockets, elastic waistbands (including an optional drawstring), and gather fabric. Choose from one, two, or three ruffled tiers and lengths from mini to maxi. 

This class is a great option as first garment project or any skill level.


What do you bring?: 

• Mave Skirt Pattern by True Bias. This pattern is broken down into two size brackets (0-18 and 14-30) and both are available in the shop as a paper pattern!

• Lightweight woven fabric according to your size. For something more structured, a lightweight cotton or linen will look great. For something more flowy and drapey, go for a rayon blend. Keep in mind the fabric estimates are for fabric that is 54” wide, so if you want to use narrower fabric you’ll need more and you may need to add seams to the longer tiers.

• 2” waistband elastic

• All purpose polyester thread to match your fabric

• If you have your own machine - bring it! Let us know what kind it is beforehand so we can find the manual for you if you don't have it. If you don't have a machine - we have one that you can use.

* Cancellation Notice: We kindly ask that makers give a minimum 72 hours' notice of cancellation or rescheduling needs. This advance notice will allow us to make any necessary adjustments to our schedule and accommodate other makers.

Refunds: Class cancellations made with a 72 hour notice or more will either receive a full refund on a gift card, or a full refund minus the $5 card processing fee to the card that was used to purchase the class registration. This fee accounts for the costs associated with the transaction and ensures a smooth and secure refund process.
