Undie Palooza!

What you will be doing: 

Undies are one of our favorite sewing projects, and they make a great introduction to sewing with knit fabrics, because you only need about ½ of a yard and the stakes are very low if they turn out slightly wonky! You’ll learn a range of knit fabric and lingerie sewing techniques, including sewing picot and foldover elastic. We’ll be using the Median Knickers pattern from Sophie Hines, which look great and feel great on a range of body types and can be adjusted to comfily fit your unique body.

This class is scheduled all day, but we’ll plan on a one hour lunch break in the afternoon.

Skill Details:	As long as you can thread your machine and sew a straightish seam, you can absolutely make undies!

Instructor Bio:	Mikayla Turner (@mikayla_sews) is a lifelong sewist who has found that the only thing she loves more than spending time at her machine is teaching others to sew! She primarily sews garments but has been known to make quilts from time to time. Her insatiable curiosity drives her to learn everything she can about sewing, always expanding her skill and expertise. As an instructor she has a particular passion for teaching beginners, and strives to create a learning environment that is welcoming, accessible and inclusive.
