Meet the Maker: Carla Williams of Endear Me
June 22, 2021by Jennifer Engleman

Taught by generations before her, Carla Williams has been sewing and doing handwork since she was a little girl. That made it a natural decision to turn her passion and talent into her longtime goal of owning her own business. What started 10 years ago, with her first items being handmade hair accessories, has grown into a thriving business of exquisite handmade items that bring vintage textiles into memorable home goods and fiber art.
Most of the Carla’s work has been creating memory quilts made from old clothing that her clients have stored away. She also creates custom wallets and handbags oftentimes with designer fabrics and specifications to meet her client’s unique taste. This one-on-one relationship that she develops with her clients creates home goods that will be treasured for many years to come.
As her business has grown she has found her love for all textiles, old and previously loved to be a new form of art. Old clothing, linens, handmade pillowcases and handkerchiefs that are put away in boxes become a part of aprons, wall hangings and other unique home goods.
I am proud to carry some of Carla's creations that were specifically made for Handcraft Happy Hour!
You can find more of Carla's work at her Etsy shop, where she sells home goods, memory quilts, aprons, hair accessories, and handbags
